The Department of Internal Affairs is holding a second free workshop on web accessibility for content authors on 8 August 2017. This is a repeat of the workshop held in Wellington on 18 July.

Note: This workshop is open to central and local government employees.
Learn about common web content accessibility problems, whom they affect and how, and get some practical ways to identify and fix them. Everyone who uses your site will benefit from your insights.
The workshop will cover:
- semantic structure
- link text
- image text alternatives
- video captions and transcripts
- plus other common problems.
Hands-onThe workshop is mostly about starting a conversation. If bring a laptop, save time by installing Chrome with the Web Developer extension. Otherwise bring something to take notes with.
