Hon Clare Curran is the 1st Government Digital Services Minister. This portfolio was created in 2017.
This role oversees the development and management of digital for the state sector. It’s currently held by Colin MacDonald, who is also the Chief Executive (CE) of the Department of Internal Affairs.
This is a partnership of stakeholders from agencies across government to support the goal of a coherent, all-of-government digital system.
This role supports the use of data as a resource across government to help deliver better services to New Zealanders. It’s held by the Chief Executive of Stats NZ Liz MacPherson.
