Read the Digital Council interim report from its 2020 research project about trust and automated decision-making.
When the Digital Council for Aotearoa New Zealand formed in February 2020 they were tasked with advising government ministers on different options for tackling the medium to long term technology and data issues facing the country. The theme of the Council’s major research project for 2020 is trust and automated decision-making.
This interim report outlines:
- why trust and automated decision-making was chosen as the research topic
- the 3 phases to this research project
- progress and key themes found to date
- next steps for the research project.
In December 2020, a full report from the research will be presented to ministers and also publicly released.
