
Tessa Moxey is a user experience researcher, working within the Digital Services branch at Te Tari Taiwhenua, the Department of Internal Affairs. She has a background in education, illustration, applied linguistics, user experience research and design. After 10 years in teaching, she moved into the public service to pursue a career in advocating for user needs through her work as a user researcher.
For the past year, Tessa has been working extensively with generative AI. She has developed methodologies for testing this new technology from a user-centred perspective. Tessa is passionate about how new technologies can be used to help create better outcomes for all New Zealanders.
