Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) is the centre of expertise for identification management and responsible for the identification standards.

For identification management practice advice email identity@dia.govt.nz. 

The team can provide: 

  • advice and guidance on issues relating to identification management
  • advice on the meaning or implementation of any aspect of the identification standards.
