Public Cloud Data Centre Certification initiative advances with next certification

The Government Chief Digital Office (GCDO) has granted certification to TEAM IM for both New Zealand-based regions within the TEAM IM Cloud.

TEAM IM is the first New Zealand-owned cloud service provider to achieve certification for Public Cloud Data Centre areas within GCDO-certified facilities.

This certification provides confidence to agencies that TEAM IM relies on good governance processes and physical and personnel security requirements as per the NZ Government Protective Security Requirements (PSR).

Protective Security Requirements (PSR)

The certification demonstrates the government’s commitment to enhancing digital public infrastructure and supporting the transition of government systems into the cloud.

It also further improves the security and efficiency of government cloud services.

The Public Cloud Data Centre Certification (PCDCC) initiative provides a standardised and consistent security assessment of NZ’s onshore Public Cloud Data Centres.

Public Cloud Data Centre Certification (PCDCC)

This initiative aligns with the New Zealand Government’s Cloud First policy, which requires government agencies and organisations to adopt public cloud services in preference to traditional ICT systems.
