Manage All-of-Government digital products and provide access to reliable, secure and fit-for-purpose ICT services via common capabilities contracts, framework agreements and Marketplace.

What’s the plan?

Portfolio services are available to all public sector agencies to assist them in providing safe, resilient and accessible services to New Zealanders.

How’s it going?

The portfolio provides substantial and ongoing savings (avoided costs) to public sector agencies by:

  • streamlining procurement of ICT services
  • centralising supplier management and security assurance functions
  • leveraging government’s purchasing power to negotiate overarching agreements with suppliers and obtain optimal commercial terms.

This allows agencies to implement digital solutions more quickly and securely, freeing up time and resources to focus on delivering public services to New Zealanders.

What’s next?

The Government Chief Digital Officer (GCDO) is continuously working to strategically review and modernise the portfolio. The goal is to deliver the best value-for-money and a resilient and reliable service to all of government.
