A valued system of assurance delivers high levels of trust and confidence in digital public services for all New Zealanders. The System Assurance team provides Ministers, the Government Chief Digital Officer and other key stakeholders with confidence that the system of assurance supporting digital government outcomes is effective.
As a system-wide team, we endeavour to share insights and lessons learned for the benefit of all agencies to improve the performance of digital investments. By applying lessons learned, agencies can work smarter and avoid similar pitfalls for their investments.
In June 2013 Cabinet agreed that, as part of the ICT functional leadership role, the Government Chief Digital Officer (GCDO) is responsible for coordinated oversight and delivery of system-wide ICT assurance.
